3 The OpenLDAP Project is pleased to announce the availability
4 of OpenLDAP Software 2.3, a suite of the Lightweight Directory
5 Access Protocol (v3) servers, clients, utilities, and
8 This beta release contains the following major enhancements:
10 * Slapd(8) enhancements
11 - Updated slapd "overlay" interface, and several
12 example (and mostly experimental) overlays.
13 - Updated LDAP "sync" Engine with replication support,
14 provider now an "overlay"
15 - Numerous access control enhancments, including
16 experimental "don't disclose on error" capability
17 * LDAPv3 extensions, including:
18 - LDAP Component Matching (requires OpenLDAP snacc)
19 - LDAP Modify Increment
