   4 These scripts may be used to update older versions of bacula
   5 databases. The scripts are designed using the standard install
   6 locations for mysql, sqlite and the bacula working directory
   7 as configured in the rpm builds. If you have different locations
   8 you will need to edit the $bindir variable and the working
   9 directory location before running them.

  12 Please note normally the scripts in this directory are needed only
  13 if you want to update multiple versions of the database.  If if
  14 you are upgrading from an older database one version before the
  15 current database version, (e.g.  version 8 to 9) the normal
  16 procedure is to use the:

  18    ./update_bacula_tables
  19
  20 script which will be installed in your scripts directory (default
  21 /etc/bacula).  It can also be found in the
  22 <bacula-source>/src/cats directory.
